Real world learning is reinforced through fun, interactive play. The bright and colorful design is eye-catching, encouraging further exploration and disguising learning in the form of a game.
Creating Characters
Members customize their own characters and engage in everyday activities, such as collecting items, decorating their home, tending to their garden and visiting with friends. Learning real-world eco-facts throughout the game helps players save Emerald Island from destruction.
Working Together
Encourages teamwork as Emerald Island residents must work together to clean up their island. (Parents can put extra protection in place to limit who their children interact with on the island).
About the development team
Emerald Island marks the next release from Fluid Entertainment, whose development team boasts decades of collective experience creating award winning interactive entertainment for children. The team, led by Scott Mathews, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, has worked on acclaimed entertainment properties, launching games worldwide and in seven languages, for brands including Harry Potter, Pokemon, Disney Princess, the Powerpuff Girls, and Mickey Mouse. Fluid’s mission is to create play with purpose and build games around meaningful narratives that weave real world learning into the fun.This approach harkens a return to the forward thinking children’s games of the 1990’s, such as Where in the World is Carmen San Diego. Shannon is a teacher and happily married mother of four boys.
