TyGirlz ‘just wanna have fun’
TyGirlz just ‘wanna’ have fun
Ty Girlz is a virtual world for tween girls featuring fashions, chat, games, and lots of shopping. All these goodies can be unlocked with a secret code that comes with the purchase of a real live Ty Girlz plushy doll.
Lots for “girlz” to do
- The first thing to do is to set up a personalized avatar (character) and dress it up in lots of fashions
- Next it’s time to go to “My House” and set and design a room with furniture that can be moved and arranged lots of different ways.
- Then comes the fun of shopping to spend the 500 TyDollars that are deposited into each girls new account. What will it be? More fashions or furnishing?
- Want to relax? Try the games and music on offer
- Want to hang out with friends? The Chat Room gives girls access to friends across the street and around the world. There’s a ‘faces’ feature which allows for different expressions and a ‘virtual cell phone’ which makes sending messages or eCards a snap.
Something extra special
There’s a tech travel component to this site that allows kids to live in virtual major cities like Paris, Rome or London and explore those lifestyles by eating in cafes, chatting with friends and more!
What moms need to know
Parents can register at the site and control children’s chats by enabling or disabling them. There’s also a pretty extensive privacy policy and safety information.
