Easy being green at Green.com
Green.com
Today your kids can create their own eco-savvy world at Green.com and work
on the causes they feel are important to save our planet.
Easy being green in this virtual world
It’s a terrific thing when your kids take an interest in the natural world around them and in saving that world and their planet…and here’s just the online destination that gives them a place of their very own to do it!
For Kids
Green.com allows kids to create their very own world
with their very own avatar. Each kid selects and designs a signature room–it can be an underground cavern or a moon crater–or anything in between. Once tucked into their room, kids can post notes to their friends and display the causes they care about,
Wait, there’s lots more!
- There’s a classic cartoon theater called, “The Recycled Theater” featuring not only classic cartoons but movie clips too. Just so you know there are also commercials shown.
- “2008 A Waste Odyssey” is an interactive activity that allows kids to clean up nasty space junk and meet some very cute space monkeys.
Green.com for parents
The people behind Green.com have put safety in mind first and have helped brought their experience in building other sites such as Ask.com and CitySearch.com to this kids world. The parent’s area is designed
- to allow parents to see who your child’s friends are,
- to monitor emails and kid chat,
- to view your kids search history
- to set parental permissions.
Green is free
Registration is free and pretty simple and includes access to all areas of the site so that moms can easily set an appropriate level of involvement. There may be a paid subscription service in the future designed to reduce advertising on the site to a minimum.
How many ‘Clicks’ does this world get?
We like the eco-theme and the attention to safety and parental controls. Wish there was less advertising on the site. Overall we give it high marks and a very respectable 8 Clicks! What do you think? Send your views to OneClickMoms.
